Chapter 10 | Closing Paragraph: Ending with Intent

The closing paragraph should be short and confident, it should not become overly emotional or formal; it should reinforce interest, summarise fit, invite further conversation

Example:

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experience in operational delivery, team leadership and process improvement aligns with your requirements.

Or:

Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experience and transferable strengths could support the role.

Avoid weak closings; “I hope you will consider me for this role.”

This can sound uncertain. Avoid: “I am available at any time and would be grateful for the chance.” This can sound too passive.
